Chung Yeung Festival Day falls on 11 October 2024, and large number of visitors are expected to visit public columbaria to pay tribute to their ancestors during the festival period. The Government appeals to members of the public to avoid grave sweeping during the peak crowds on Chung Yeung Festival Day and to try to spread out over longer span in the Chung Yeung Festival period to reduce crowd gathering.
To cope with the crowd, the opening hours of all public columbaria during the Chung Yeung Festival period, i.e. from 21 September 2024 (Sat) to 20 October 2024 (Sun), will be extended as follows:
