The Joint Office has achieved the following actual performance in carrying out investigations to reports on water seepage in buildings:

“Of the cases received in 2020, 67% of the investigations could be completed within 90 working days with the informants notified of the results.^{Note 1}”

Progress of investigation hinges on various factors, including:

1. complexity of the case e.g. seepage involving multiple sources, repeated or intermittent seepage condition, in which multiple tests are necessary; and
2. whether owners or occupiers of premises are cooperative.
