Anti-mosquito Campaign in 2024

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) is organising an Anti-mosquito Campaign in 2024 in collaboration with other government departments.  The theme of the Campaign is 'Prevent Japanese Encephalitis and Dengue Fever  Act Now'.  The Campaign is implemented in three phases.  The first and second phases were conducted from 19 February 2024 to 17 March 2024 and from 15 April 2024 to 16 June 2024 respectively.  The third phase will be conducted from 5 August 2024 to 27 October 2024.

  1. Picture Hunt – How to prevent mosquitoes in the community

    (Trade Promotion Competition Licence No. 059006)

    A game named 'Picture Hunt – How to prevent mosquitoes in the community' is organised to encourage Hong Kong residents to actively participate in mosquito prevention and control.  The participation form can be downloaded here.

    Prizes

    Special Prize - A complimentary copy of the book "Mosquitoes of Hong Kong" published by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, a foldable umbrella with anti-UV feature, and a Keep Clean Ambassador Ah Tak 32 GB USB flash drive memory stick (30 prizes in total) 

    Ordinary Prize - A complimentary copy of the book "Mosquitoes of Hong Kong" published by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, and a foldable umbrella with anti-UV feature (50 prizes in total)

  1. District anti-mosquito operations
    1. The Department will launch a series of mosquito elimination operations in districts in collaboration with other government departments.
    2. During the campaign period, staff of the Department will follow the working programme to approach mosquito breeding places to carry out anti-mosquito prevention measures and to give technical advice to the public.
  2. A variety of educational leaflets and posters will be distributed to the District Environmental Hygiene Offices of the Department and other departments (including Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, Department of Health, Home Affairs Department, Housing Department, Highways Department, and Leisure and Cultural Services Department), Hospital Authority, District Councils, schools, property management offices, owners' corporations, mutual aid committees and building contractors for display and/or distribution.
