Ching Ming Festival Day falls on 4 April 2025, and a large number of visitors are expected to visit public columbaria to pay tribute to their ancestors during the festival period. The Government appeals to members of the public to avoid grave sweeping during the peak crowds on Ching Ming Festival Day and to try to spread out over longer span in the Ching Ming Festival period to reduce crowd gathering.
To cope with the crowd, the opening hours of all public columbaria during the Ching Ming Festival period, i.e. from 15 March 2025 (Sat) to 13 April 2025 (Sun), will be extended as follows:
