Applicant selling restricted foods can choose to apply for a "Composite Restricted Foods Permit" with effect from 1 January 2025

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department has prepared a new type of permit to cover the sale of various types of restricted food at the same premises/online platform which will be opened for application from 1 January 2025.

Apart from the existing restricted food permits for sale of a single type of restricted foods, the new Composite Restricted Foods Permit (including online sale of restricted foods) will cover the sale of a variety of restricted foods (except food sold by means of a vending machine) at the same premises/online platform, thus streamlining the application process.  The fee for each Composite Restricted Foods Permit is generally $810.  The current arrangements and fees for the existing various types of restricted food permit involving sale of single restricted food item will remain unchanged.
