The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) is organising an Anti-mosquito Campaign in 2025 in collaboration with other government departments. The theme of the Campaign is 'Prevent Japanese Encephalitis and Dengue Fever Act Now'. The Campaign is implemented in three phases. Phase I was conducted from 17 February 2025 to 14 March 2025. Phase II and Phase III will be conducted from 14 April 2025 to 13 June 2025 and from 4 August 2025 to 24 October 2025 respectively.
- To heighten public awareness on the potential risk of dengue fever, Zika virus infection, Japanese encephalitis, chikungunya fever and other mosquito-borne diseases;
- to encourage community participation and forge close partnership of government departments concerned in anti-mosquito work; and
- to eliminate potential mosquito breeding sites.

Lam Tin - District anti-mosquito operations
- The Department will launch a series of mosquito elimination operations in districts in collaboration with other government departments.
- During the campaign period, staff of the Department will follow the working programme to approach mosquito breeding places to carry out anti-mosquito prevention measures and to give technical advice to the public.
- A variety of educational leaflets and posters will be distributed to the District Environmental Hygiene Offices of the Department and other departments (including Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, Department of Health, Home Affairs Department, Housing Department, Highways Department, and Leisure and Cultural Services Department), Hospital Authority, District Councils, schools, property management offices, owners’ corporations, mutual aid committees and building contractors for display and/or distribution.
