As the management body of a residential estate/building, by signing the Charter, we understand that -

rodents can transmit numerous diseases to human via direct or indirect ways. Their gnawing behaviour will cause property and economic loss. Moreover, they may bite people of low mobility.

a three-pronged approach should be adopted for anti-rodent operations to eliminate the three fundamental survival conditions of rodents, namely food, harbourage and passages, i.e. the elimination of the food sources and hiding places of rodents as well as the blockage of their dispersal routes, to achieve sustainable rodent control effect.

the strengthening of inspections and anti-rodent measures within the residential estate/building help prevent rodent infestation.
To prevent rodent infestation, we agree and are committed to -

assigning one to two anti-rodent liaison ambassadors to coordinate anti-rodent efforts in the residential estate/building.

carrying out regular inspections and arranging necessary repair and maintenance works for the facilities, and ensuring suitable cleaning/refuse removal of the residential estate/building.

implementing anti-rodent measures within the residential estate/building (please refer to "Rodent-proofing Measures in Residential Premises" and "Checklist for Anti-rodent Work (Residential Estates/Buildings)").

monitoring the service quality and performance of the hired pest control service contractor.

maintaining the relevant records of pest control work properly.

conveying anti-rodent messages to residents through promotion and education, encouraging them to improve environmental conditions and cultivate habits of maintaining good personal hygiene and a clean environment.
